Ludhiana Hospital Accused of Negligence After Body Handed Over to Wrong Family

Ludhiana news: In a shocking case of alleged negligence, the body of a deceased person was handed over to the wrong family, while the actual family had already begun preparations for the last rites.

An elderly man, identified as Sukhwinder Singh, made the allegations in a video recorded outside Orison Super Specialty Hospital in Ludhiana.

In the video, Sukhwinder Singh accuses the hospital of serious negligence and carelessness. He said the deceased, who was the sister-in-law of Sukhmander Singh, had been admitted to the Ludhiana hospital for treatment and passed away on Friday.

The deceased was a resident of Moga, from a village near Dharamkot.

On Saturday morning, family members went to the hospital to collect the body. However, upon seeing it, they realised it was not their relative. The family later learnt that their relative’s body had been taken by someone else, and the last rites had already been performed.

The cremation of Sukhmander Singh’s sister-in-law was scheduled for 2 pm on Saturday. Several relatives had arrived from abroad to attend the funeral.
