Punjab Launches ‘AnandpurSahib350.com’ to Guide Devotees Ahead of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary

Harjot Singh Bains, Punjab Education and Information & Public Relations Minister, launched a major digital initiative on Friday. It is designed to support lakhs of devotees to arrive at Sri Anandpur Sahib for the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The minister announced the launch of a dedicated website and mobile application, AnandpurSahib350.com. He calls it a “one-stop digital solution” that brings together real-time information, safety features and advanced logistical tools for the visiting sangat.

According to Bains, this platform functions as a central information hub. It offers event schedules, Nagar Kirtan routes, live streaming of commemorative ceremonies, and historical context in both Punjabi and English. He said that this initiative reflects the administration’s commitment towards serving devotees “in the spirit of Sarbat Da Bhala” and to ensure that every visitor is supported with modern, high-quality facilities and timely updates.

He further explained that the digital platform offers intelligent logistics tracking that enables users to track the status of more than 30 designated parking areas, three tent cities, and their available capacity. Devotees can also explore accommodation options directly through the portal. A special Tractor-Trolley City, which is located just one kilometre from Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, has been set up to streamline last-mile connectivity and reduce congestion.

The minister also highlighted the extensive transportation arrangements: 65 mini-buses and 500 e-rickshaws will operate round-the-clock to shuttle devotees between parking sites and key religious locations, including Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib and the main congregation grounds.

For health and safety measures, the minister said the administration has established 19 Aam Aadmi Clinics, two specialised eye camps, multiple medical check-up stations offering free tests and medicines, and a fleet of ambulances for emergency care. To maintain hygiene and sanitation, 26 mobile toilet vans with hourly cleaning schedules and designated bathing areas have been deployed.

Security and communication will be reinforced through integrated CCTV surveillance, LED information screens and a public announcement system providing real-time traffic updates and essential advisories.

Bains added that the website is already live and that the mobile application is available on both Android and iOS platforms. He urged devotees to use and share the platform widely to ensure a smooth, safe and spiritually meaningful experience for all.
