2016 Nabha Jailbreak Case: Most Wanted Ramanjit Singh 'Romi' To Be Brought Back To India

2016 Nabha jailbreak Case, Ramanjit Singh Romi Latest News: In a major development, Ramanjit Singh Romi, the main accused of the Nabha jailbreak incident, is being brought to India from Hong Kong. He will reach Delhi at 4 pm. Extradition from Hong Kong was approved after which the Punjab police teams reached to bring him.

Ramanjit Singh Romi, the main accused in the 2016 Nabha jailbreak case, was arrested in Hong Kong in 2016. After this, Punjab had raised this matter with the central government and the process of his extradition was started.

After a long legal battle fought on the Indian side to bring him from there to India, success has now been achieved. Along with this, the entire situation will become clear only after the accused reaches India.

Earlier, after the disappearance of gangster Romi, a red corner notice was issued against him. Romi is also suspected to be involved in the murders in Jalandhar and Ludhiana in 2016-17. According to Punjab Police, he was in touch with gangster Gurpreet Singh Sheikh who was among six persons who escaped from Nabha Jail in November 2016 and was the main conspirator in the case.

Police believe that Romi had provided money to those who escaped from the jail. Notably, six prisoners, including two terrorists and four notorious gangsters, escaped from Nabha Jail.
