Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab senior leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Harpal Singh Cheema, expressing his grave concern over the outbreak of the Corona pandemic touching a new high in the state, said that the ‘Mission Fateh’ launched with much fanfare by the Amarinder Singh government against the Corona pandemic, had proved to be ‘Mission Flop’, saying CM himself had predicted that the number of corona positive cases would cross the one lakh mark in September.

Cheema on the occasion said: “Raja Sahib is playing with the sentiments of the people of the state. Mission Fateh’ has turned out to be nothing more than a mere misleading slogan, aimed at attracting eyeballs.

I would like to ask the CM if the whopping amount worth crores that had been splurged on the advertisement through ‘Mission Fateh’ had been used in ramping up the infrastructure at government hospitals, addressing acute shortage of doctors and paramedical staff, medicines, ICU beds, ventilators, et al, the situation would have been under control”.

Cheema demanded the government in the saddle should Issue a White Paper on the expenditure incurred on containing the epidemic by far.
