Punjab: Rs 3.5 Lakh Challans Issued to School Buses in Ludhiana for Safety Violations

In the Doraha area of Khanna, in Ludhiana, traffic police and the Punjab government’s Transport Department carried out early-morning checking of school buses under the ‘Safe School Vehicle Policy’. The action was taken to ensure the safety of schoolchildren.

During the checking, several school buses were found violating safety norms and lacking mandatory documents. 
The buses were inspected for safety equipment, paperwork, and compliance with prescribed rules. 

Action has been taken against the violating buses, and challans amounting to a total of Rs 3.5 lakh have been issued. 

Officials directed school managements to strictly comply with the rules in the future.
