Punjab By Elections 2024 Live Updates Latest News Today: Punjab recorded a voter turnout of 20.76% till 11 AM as voters from four constituencies—Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak, Chabbewal (SC), and Barnala—headed to the polls in the ongoing by-elections.  

- Gidderbaha reported the highest turnout at 35%,  
- Dera Baba Nanak at 19.4%,  
- Barnala at 16.1%, and  
- Chabbewal (SC) at 12.71%.  

Why Are By-Elections Being Held?  

The bypolls were necessitated after legislators from these constituencies were elected to the Lok Sabha earlier this year.
