Punjab Weather Update Yellow Alert News Today: The India Meteorological Department issued yellow alerts for light rain, light thunderstorm with maximum surface wind speed less than 40 kmph in several districts of the state.

Punjab issued a Yellow Alert for Muktsar and Firozpur for light rainfall and light rainfall. Therefore, no alert is issued for Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala, Moga, SAS Nagar, Faridkot, Fazilka, Bathinda, and Mansa for Thursday, signaling clear weather for these cities etc.

Notably, Punjab recently witnessed a fresh spell of rainfall that brought a sigh of relief to the people who were suffering from a major heatwave. The spell of rains must have brought a relief but the people are feared of even more intense heatwave if the temperature keeps rising like it was.
