Panchayats of several villages have started taking active steps to expel migrants from the area.

Meanwhile, in Daroli Kalan village near Adampur in Jalandhar, an emergency meeting of 10 panchayats of the region was convened regarding migrant workers, and an important decision was taken.

Panchayats from several nearby villages participated in the meeting, and several resolutions were unanimously passed. It was decided in the meeting that Aadhaar cards and voter cards would not be issued to migrant workers. Those already registered will be cancelled. In addition, no migrant will be allowed to move around in the village or at intersections at night.

The panchayats also decided that no space in the village would be provided to migrants for any festivals. Moreover, no villager will sell their property or house to migrants. If anyone does so, they will be held responsible.
