Anantnag Martyr to be Laid to Rest Today: Army Jawan's Body Recovered, Toll Rises to Five

PATIALA: The Body of an army soldier, Pradeep Kumar, was discovered in Anantnag district of North Kashmir. Pradeep Kumar had been missing for several days, and his recovery marks the unfortunate escalation of the toll to five in the recent terrorist operation. The search operation by commandos led to the retrieval of Kumar's body.
The Soldier, a resident of Ballabgarh village in Samana district, Patiala, has been identified as Shaheed Pardeep Singh. He will be cremated with full official and military honors today in his hometown of Ballamgarh (Samana). Cabinet Minister S. Chetan Singh Jodamajra is expected to pay homage to the martyr during the ceremony.
Notably, The Security forces, amidst heavy rains, are vigorously conducting operations against militants, now in its seventh day. The focus remains on targeting terrorists concealed in dense forests, mountain caves, and other natural hideouts, estimated to be in the range of 3 to 4 individuals.
