Punjab: Theft at 'de-addiction' centre in Fazilka: 6,825 tablets, computer stolen; FIR registered
Expressing concern, the Civil Surgeon said that the stolen tablets could be misused.
Punjab news: An incident of theft has come to light at the Dabbwala Kalan OAT Centre in Arniwala, Fazilka district, Punjab.
As per information received, thieves entered the OAT centre during the night and stole around 6,825 de-addiction tablets along with a computer.
The Arniwala police have been informed about the incident, and a case has been registered against unknown persons. A search is underway to trace the accused.
Meanwhile, the Civil Surgeon has written to the SSP seeking police security for the OAT centre. The Dabbwala OAT Centre falls under the Arniwala block.
Fazilka Civil Surgeon said that the thieves thoroughly searched the centre and stole 6,825 de-addiction tablets and one computer.
Expressing concern, the Civil Surgeon said that the stolen tablets could be misused. A letter has been written to the SSP requesting security for the OAT centre to prevent such incidents in the future.
