Chandigarh Police Guidelines ahead of Ind vs Aus World Cup Final: In anticipation of the highly anticipated ODI World Cup final clash between India and Australia, scheduled to unfold in Ahmedabad on November 19, the Chandigarh Police has rolled out a comprehensive advisory, imploring the public to adhere to specified guidelines aimed at maintaining law and order in the city.

-- The Advisory distinctly prohibits the use of firecrackers and the playing of loud music on roads. The police have identified a trend where post major sports events, celebratory actions like these lead to traffic disturbances and noise pollution.

-- To avert potential law and order disruptions, the Chandigarh Police has enacted a ban on gatherings of five or more persons at any public venue without obtaining prior permission. Moreover, the use of sound amplifiers such as DJs, dhols, or drums in public spaces after 10 pm is strictly prohibited in accordance with the Noise Pollution Regulation & Control Rules, 2000.

- The public screening of the cricket match in open spaces is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the relevant authorities. Additionally, the police have prohibited any form of processions before, during, or after the match. A stern warning has been issued, emphasizing that any instances of hooliganism will be met with stringent consequences.

- The Chandigarh Police has emphasized that violations of the stipulated guidelines will result in strict penal actions under the applicable provisions of the law. 

By urging citizens to adhere to these guidelines, the Chandigarh Police aims to foster a secure and peaceful environment for the public to relish the ODI World Cup final showdown between India and Australia.
