Resident of Beharwal, Amritsar Arrested in Cross-Border Narco-Terror Case, 25 Kg Heroin Recovered: In a major blow to cross-border narco-terror networks, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Amritsar, in a joint operation with the BSF, apprehended a resident of village Beharwal, Amritsar, DGP Punjab Police informed.

The apprehended accused has been identified as Sajan Singh alias Billa. The security team recovered 25.907 kg of heroin and one Glock pistol (9 mm) from his possession.

According to the preliminary investigation, foreign-based Harpreet Singh alias Happy Jatt was involved, and police teams are actively pursuing his extradition.

An FIR has been registered at PS ANTF, SAS Nagar. Further investigation is underway to expose the full nexus, including the backward and forward linkages of the network, the DGP added.

“Punjab Police remains steadfast in its resolve to dismantle drug trafficking networks and ensure a safer, drug-free Punjab,” the DGP reaffirmed.
