Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar Association on Strike Against Ravneet Kaur & Simran Blassi

Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar Asso. On Strike Against Misconduct of Ravneet Kaur and Simran Blassi News: The Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar Association, Chandigarh, Executive Committee has unanimously resolved to observe a strike today, 18 September 2025.

The decision has been made by the association in protest after police officials failed to register an FIR against Ravneet Kaur and Simran Singh for their alleged “serious acts of misconduct and assault” on the Secretary and other members of the Bar, and for open intimidation within the Court premises.

The Executive Committee, in a notice, said, “It is most unfortunate that the police officials have not registered the FIR under the relevant provisions of the IT Act, Arms Act, and other applicable sections against Ms. Ravneet Kaur and Mr. Simran Singh Blassi, despite their serious acts of misconduct, assault on the Honorary Secretary and other members of the Bar, and open intimidation within the Court premises.”

“It is further regretted that even Court No. 1 entertained the request of Ms. Ravneet Kaur to fix her matter for tomorrow, notwithstanding her conduct being specifically brought to the notice of the Court and despite the strong objections raised by the Bar,” it added.

“Despite repeated communications and representations made by the Bar Association,” it said, “no effective or concrete action has been initiated so far. It is also highly deplorable that no action has yet been taken to remove the objectionable social media posts targeting members of the Bar, especially the President and the Honorary Secretary.”

“In these circumstances, the Executive Committee has unanimously resolved that the Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar Association, Chandigarh, shall observe a strike,” it added.
