Around 75000 students of Undergraduate/Post Graduate/Other Professional Courses including USOL/Private have appeared today

Chandigarh: Around 75000 students of Undergraduate/Post Graduate/Other Professional Courses including USOL/Private have appeared today in the first ever online examination conducted by Panjab University which commenced today.

Total of 47 exams have been conducted on Day 1 of the Exams. The examinations are being conducted in 3 slabs of 9 am to 11 am, 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm.

All the Colleges/Departments downloaded the question papers as per the scheduled time from PU Website and official email IDs provided to them. The question papers were further distributed to students through various electronic modes.

Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor inquired and visited the Examination Branch on 16th September and remained connected today also with Prof. Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examination and his technical staff for the smooth launch of Ist Online Exams.

He appreciated the efforts of the technical staff under the guidance of CoE for setting up the High-Tech Online Exam Control Room.

CoE expressed his gratitude to all the Chairpersons/College Principals/Coordinators/Supporting Staff for the successful launch of the Exam Model being introduced for the first time.

He further informed that many queries of Principals/Chief Coordinators/Chairpersons were properly and instantly resolved by COE personally and his technical team headed by System Administrator and System Managers.

The emergency packet of question papers were also made available in the 40 Nodal Centres in various affiliated Colleges of PU, he informed.

He further informed that around 86616 students will be taking various exams being conducted by PU over the span of 17 days.
