CHANDIGARH: Vigilance has seized documents related to forgery in the recruitment process of Nursing Officer in GMCH-32. After the orders received from the administration, the GMCH management will be able to join the new candidates only after biometric verification. If sources are to be believed, soon the management will issue a circular that the report of vigilance investigation will be applicable to all the recruited candidates.

As such, the jobs of all the candidates recruited for 182 vacancies have become dependent on the Vigilance report. Presently, GMCH does not have biometric machines due to which the recruitment process has come to a standstill. After the arrival of biometric machines, the recruitment process will be carried forward by verifying the selected candidates.

Notably, There was 27 percent OBC reservation in the recruitment of Nursing Officer. All these vacancies have also been filled. The criteria for a job in this quota is that the annual income should not exceed Rs 8 lakh. Many candidates selected in the recruitment have come from AIIMS after resigning.
