KAPURTHALA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today distributed appointment letters to 71,000 newly recruited youth in government departments at 45 centers across the country through video conferencing. On this occasion, the Prime Minister also addressed youths who have got the employment opportunity. Under this series, Union Minister Hardeep Puri specially participated in the job fair organized at Kapurthala's Rail Coach Factory and appointment letters were distributed to the youth.

During this, while talking to the journalists, he discussed about the results of the Jalandhar district elections as well as the Akali-BJP alliance. He said that these results have come only because of distribution of free sweets and we accept whatever results have come in the elections because it is the decision of the people. In other states where free rice has been distributed, its graph has gone down. Till 1980, Punjab was at number 3 or 4 but now see it has gone to 19th and 22nd place.

Along with this, talking about the alliance of SAD-BJP, Hardeep Puri said that it has been very good for the party to contest the elections alone this time, because our party had never contested the Jalandhar elections and had no hold on our land either. Nevertheless, we have stood top from 27-28 booths. We are learning to stand on our own feet and it is better for us to contest elections alone because when we entered into an alliance with Akali Dal, it cost us dearly.
