According to the Meteorological Department, Adampur Air Force Station recorded the coldest temperature in the plains of India at a chilling 0.7°C.

A yellow alert for a cold wave has been issued in 21 districts of Punjab, including Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Patiala. Residents are bracing for a further dip in temperatures as cold winds sweep down from the mountains, bringing a bone-chilling chill.

Rain and Snow Expected as Western Disturbance Becomes Active
