Applied for Anticipatory bail in the Faridkot Court

FARIDKOT: Former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini applied for anticipatory bail in the Faridkot court in connection with the Kotkapura firing case. 

It is worth mentioning here that a SIT which is investigating the Kotakpura firing case related to the sacrilege case submitted a 7,000-page charge sheet in the court in which former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, former DGP and the names of other top police officers including Sumedh Saini were also included.

The court issued summons to the persons nominated in the challan for March 23. Earlier, the former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal have also approached the Faridkot court and appealed for anticipatory bail.
