CHANDIGARH: In a significant prelude to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a strategic decision to restructure its leadership in Chandigarh. Arun Sood, who held the position of Chandigarh BJP President, has been replaced by Jatinder Pal Malhotra, signaling a shift in the command structure.

The Announcement came through a letter issued by BJP National President JP Nadda, undersigned by the regular National General Secretary Arun Kumar. The decision to appoint Jatinder Pal Malhotra as the new Chandigarh BJP President reflects the party's efforts to streamline its organizational framework and strategize ahead of the approaching national elections.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the Mizoram elections, showcasing the BJP's focus on ensuring a strong footing in various regions. Additionally, BJP National Secretary Anil Antony and Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton have been appointed as deputy election in-charges, further emphasizing the party's commitment to strengthen its presence and strategy for upcoming electoral battles.
