COVID-19 Updates: Punjab Sees 321 Fresh Cases in last 24 hrs 

MOHALI: Coronavirus is rapidly increasing in Punjab state. This has become a major cause of concern for the public. The health department had sent 4929 samples, of which 4225 were tested. Out of these 321 samples have tested to be positive. While two people have died due to Coronavirus in the state. Fatalities were recorded in Jalandhar and Moga district.

At present, 25 Corona victims in the state are on level-2 and level-3 life support system. Currently 19 patients are on oxygen support in the state. While the condition of 6 corona victims is serious, they have been kept in ICU on level-3 bed.

Corona outbreak is highest in Mohali. The number of corona positive cases in Mohali is not decreasing, but increasing. 351 samples sent to Mohali for testing. Of these, 68 have been tested to be positive. In Ludhiana, 529 samples were sent for testing, out of which 31 were found to be positive.

Earlier there were corona positive patients in only 16 districts of Punjab but the Covid-19 has reached every district. Patiala 22 out of 87 samples, Jalandhar 18 out of 537, Amritsar 19 out of 633, Fazilka 24 out of 191, Ferozepur 16 out of 44, Mansa 7 out of 37, Muktsar 11 out of 97, Ropar 158, Sangrur 1581. 7 out of 254, Barnala 7 out of 112, Bathinda 27 out of 171, Hoshiarpur 10 out of 243, Kapurthala 1 out of 12, Pathankot 13 out of 115, Nawanshahr 3 out of 25, Faridkot 5 out of 32, Fatehgarh Sahib 4 out of 88, Gurdaspur 6 out of 501, Malerkotla 1 out of 82, Moga 5 out of 121 and Tarn Taran 5 out of 10 Samples have been tested to be positive.
