Bhakra Dam and Pong Dam Water Level Rise Before Arrival of Monsoon Season

Bhakra Dam and Pong Dam Water Level Latest News Today: In a major development, the water level of Bhakra Dam and Pong Dam has increased to an above-average mark before the arrival of the upcoming monsoon season.
According to information, the water level has risen to 1584 ft in the Bhakra dam and 1313 ft in the Pong dam. The water level in the dams has increased, before the arrival of monsoon season.
It is pertinent to mention that in the last 60 years, it is for the first time that the water level has increased by June 12 only. It is being reported that the water level has increased due to the melting of glaciers because of the scorching heatwave.
In the meanwhile, it is being reported that around 26 thousand cusec water can be released from Bhakra Dam today and there are chances that the water can increase the flow of the Sutlej river.
Likewise, the administration has also issued an advisory regarding the same.
