Two Bambiha Gang Associates Arrested with Six Pistols by Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force: Barnala, Punjab: In a major breakthrough against organised crime, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab, in a joint operation with the Barnala Police, arrested two key associates of the Bambiha Gang involved in illegal arms activities.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sandeep Singh and Sekher. During the operation, the police recovered a total of six pistols, including one PX5, four pistols of .32 bore, and one pistol of .30 bore, along with 19 live cartridges from their possession.
According to a preliminary investigation, the accused were acting on the directions of their foreign handlers and were allegedly planning to supply these weapons to the Bambiha Gang’s foot soldiers to execute sensational crimes in Punjab.
Officials said that a detailed investigation is underway to trace and dismantle the entire supply chain of illegal arms, including its backward and forward linkages.
Reaffirming its commitment to ensuring public safety, the Punjab Police stated that it remains steadfast in its mission to curb organised crime and eliminate illegal arms networks across the state.
