Sikh Community Mourns Passing of Giani Mohan Singh, Former Golden Temple Head Granthi

Giani Mohan Singh, the former Head Granthi of the Golden Temple, passed away on Sunday, prompting an outpouring of grief from the Sikh community and political leadership alike. A pillar of Sikh spiritual service, Giani ji was known for his wisdom, discipline, and lifelong commitment to the Guru’s path.
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan expressed his sorrow over the demise, stating, “Giani Mohan Singh’s death is a huge loss to the Sikh Panth. He was not just a religious leader but a beacon of spiritual integrity who lived by the Guru's teachings.”
The Speaker further added that Giani ji’s memory will remain etched in the hearts of the Sikh Sangat for his decades-long service at the Harmandir Sahib. The SGPC and various Sikh institutions are expected to pay formal tributes in the coming days.
