DHURI: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today met people in Dhuri as part of the Lok Milni programme. Meanwhile, he listened to the problems of the people and assigned the duty of the concerned officials to solve them. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mann spoke on many important issues. He said that this program has been initiated so that people do not have to travel to Chandigarh to demand solutions to their issues. The CM said, "If we have visited here and asked for votes, then the problems will also be heard here."

CM Mann said, "Dhuri will emerge as a laboratory for the entire Punjab, tests will be conducted here and if those tests are successful, they will be implemented in the entire state. The name of this program is 'Sarkar Tuhade Dwar'." Many officers were also present with the Chief Minister on this occasion. Regarding the rail roko agitation and protest called by the farmers after the value cut imposed on the MSP by the central government, Chief Minister Mann said that farmers' organizations stages protest for no reason.

He said, "In earlier times, people used to look at the reason before staging a dharna, but now people only look that where the place is empty, sit there and see the demands later."

The Chief Minister added, "Work is being done to lay underground pipes in the villages. AAP Govt has decided that the government will not take 10 percent share from the panchayats and will bear the entire cost itself and no village will be deprived of underground pipes. 23 km pipeline has been laid in Dhuri. Earlier, Punjab had neither running water nor electricity, but now farmers have both. Banks of canals will be strengthened before planting paddy and miri."
