Mohali schools bomb threats: Several schools in Mohali were closed immediately on Wednesday after receiving bomb threats, triggering panic among school staff, students, and parents.
Schools that received bomb threat emails include Shivalik Public School, Paragon Senior Secondary School (Sector 71), Manav Mangal, and Infant Jesus School.
SP City Mohali Dilpreet Singh said the threats were received at around 7:30 today via email.
The SP speaking to the media said a thorough search operation is underway by various departments.
"Many prominent schools in Mohali received a threatening email. Our bomb disposal team, our ARP team, our anti-sabotage team, and our police station forces, along with all RGOs, DSPs, and SPs, are on the field checking thoroughly.
He added that, as a precautionary measure, the police have cordoned off all the schools and declared a holiday for students and teachers.
While the search operation is still ongoing, the police officer said that no suspicious items have been found so far.
