CHANDIGARH: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Kultar Singh Sandhawan, has officially called for a 2-day special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha scheduled to be held on October 20-21. Although the specific agenda for this special session has not been officially disclosed, sources suggest that it will encompass vital matters, including the contentious SYL canal issue and the frozen funds of RDF.

The upcoming special session is seen as a continuation of the previous Legislative Assembly session. Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan confirmed this and clarified that Governor's approval is not necessary for re-convening the old session.
