A major crackdown on narco-hawala networks, three arrested, Latest News: As part of a major crackdown on narco-hawala networks, the Amritsar Rural Police have arrested three individuals allegedly involved in narco-terrorism.
The accused — Ranjit Singh alias Rana, Gurdev Singh alias Gedi, and Shailendra Singh alias Selu — were arrested by the Amritsar Rural Police, according to the Babushahi Bureau. They were allegedly involved in cross-border drug trafficking and illegal hawala operations, according to a report in Babushahi.
Police recovered 500 grams of heroin, a Glock 9mm pistol with two magazines, and rupees 33 lakh in hawala money from the possession of the accused.
