Target Set for 1 lakh New Admissions from Pre-Primary to 12th standard on the 1st day of the Campaign

CHANDIGARH: Punjab's School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has ordered to commence a massive campaign for new admissions in all government schools in the state from March 10. Presiding over a high-level meeting with state education officers and district teams here today, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has set a target of enrolling 1 lakh new students on the first day of the admission campaign. This campaign will run from 8 am to 8 pm.

Bains said that he would personally supervise the operation. During the meeting, Bains ordered the officials of the department to set up admission booths at the main gate of every government school in Punjab from March 10, 2023 to March 31, 2023, to make the Admission Campaign-2023 more effective and said that schools will be opened on these booths. From the time of opening till the end of the entire holiday, the teaching/non-teaching staff will sit on duty for conducting registration related to admissions.

The Education Minister instructed the officers that according to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, every officer should work with full dedication, and sincerity to improve the standard of education in government schools to the international level.

Bains said that the school staff with the highest number of new admissions will be given a letter of appreciation and special financial assistance to the school, as well as a meeting with Punjabi's beloved leader and Chief Minister of Punjab state Bhagwant Mann.
