CHANDIGARH: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the commencement of direct flights from Bathinda district in Punjab to Delhi, a move expected to greatly benefit the people of Punjab and the Malwa region. Making the announcement via a post on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister expressed enthusiasm about the development. The airline has set an initial fare of just Rs. 1999 for this route, making air travel more accessible.

The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of the flight, stating (In Punjabi) (Roughly Translated), "The commencement of flights from Bathinda to Delhi today will bridge the gap and provide a valuable link between the Malwa region and the capital. This not only enhances connectivity but also opens up new avenues for progress and prosperity for the people of Malwa." He emphasized that this step aligns with the government's vision of a vibrant and thriving Punjab.

In addition to the Bathinda to Delhi route, the Chief Minister shared insights into the government's broader plans. He revealed that flights from multiple other airports in Punjab are set to commence in the near future. He reiterated that these strategic moves are a testament to the government's commitment to transforming Punjab into a vibrant and prosperous state.
