In a shocking incident from Tarn Taran district of Punjab, a first-year law college student allegedly shot dead a female classmate and later shot himself with the same weapon on Monday (9 February 2026).

Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagbir Singh said, “The two students had taken admission at the same time. Prince Raj, aged 19, shot dead Sandeep Kaur inside the classroom and then killed himself. We are investigating the matter.”

In purported visuals from the incident, a person believed to be Prince can be seen seated on the bench in front of the victim, while she was standing with another girl.

Within seconds, Prince gets up, turns back, shoots the girl at point-blank range, and immediately shoots himself, collapsing on the floor as other students panic.

As per reports citing the victim’s family, Prince was in one-sided love with her, while she was engaged to someone else.

He reportedly harassed the victim and had visited her house two to three times earlier. Prince Raj is said to be the son of an Army personnel, and it is suspected that the weapon used in the tragic incident belonged to his father
