Farmer Dies by Suicide at Shambhu Border Latest News Today: A tragic incident unfolded today at the Shambhu border as Resham Singh, a farmer from Pehuwind village in Tarn Taran district, died by suicide amidst ongoing protests demanding the implementation of a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.

According to eyewitnesses, Resham Singh consumed poison near the community kitchen area early this morning. Fellow protesters immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, but despite all medical efforts, he succumbed during treatment.

The farmer's death has sent shockwaves through the protest camps, with leaders expressing deep sorrow and emphasizing the urgency of addressing farmers' demands. Resham Singh had reportedly been actively participating in the protests for weeks.

Farmers have been staging demonstrations at the Shambhu border, pressing for legally guaranteed MSP to ensure fair prices for their crops. Protest leaders have condemned the government for what they see as a lack of action and empathy toward the farming community’s struggles.

They reiterated their commitment to continuing the fight for MSP and urged the government to engage in meaningful dialogue to prevent further loss of life.
