As per the yellow alert, several districts may witness cold days while some of the districts will also witness dense fog. 

Punjab Weather Update: No Orange Alert in the state, yellow alert in 17 districts

Punjab Weather Update Today: Amid dense fog and cold conditions across the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a yellow alert in 17 districts of the state for January 10. The good news is that no orange alert has been issued in any of the districts of Punjab. 

According to information, a yellow alert has been issued in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Firozpur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Moga, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala.  

As per the yellow alert, several districts may witness cold days while some of the districts will also witness dense fog. 

An orange alert was issued, for January 9, in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala.  

The weather is getting back to normal in a few districts of the state. However, the temperature in the last few days was near normal in the state. 

In the meanwhile, there are several reports that some districts of the state might also receive rainfall in the next few days. Even though some districts were not issued orange alerts, there were clouds across the state and dense fog was seen during the morning and evening hours.
