Havaldar Charanjit Singh Passed Away

AMRITSAR: Havaldar Charanjit Singh of the Army's Unit 15 Sikh Regiment Battalion passed away suddenly at Ahirgarh, Arunachal Pradesh on March 3. Mourning wave erupted at the Muchhal village after receiving the news.

On Sunday, the army unit arrived with the body of Charanjit Singh at the village. The funeral was performed with official guard of honor. Charanjit Singh (39) is survived by his wife, and two sons. Earlier, Charanjit Singh's father Mahinder Singh also died in 1984. Charanjit Singh was born shortly after his father's demise.

Charanjit Singh's Mother, Balwinder Kaur, had raised her child in a lot of pain and enlisted her in the army. Cabinet Minister S. Harbhajan Singh reached to attend the last rites of Charanjit Singh and extended condolences to the bereaved family. Expressing the irreparable loss to the family, the minister prayed that his soul may rest in peace and may God grant the family strength to endure the pain.
