Chandigarh: With the objective of providing Ghar-Ghar Rozgar, the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government has sought applications for 2984 posts in the Health & Family Welfare Department till August 31.
Giving details in press communique, the Health & Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said that Punjab Government was fully prepared to effectively tackle the increasing patient load in Government Hospitals due to spread of coronavirus and these recruitments would prove to be a milestone in achieving this goal.
He further said that the Punjab Government also gave exemption in upper age limit up to 45 years at the time of recruitment to those employees already working on contract/outsourced basis in different wings/institutions of the Health & Family Welfare Department in line with the similar relaxation of upper age in case of persons already in government service for the purpose of recruitment to service by direct appointment. However, no relaxation will be given in educational qualification.
In addition, it is proposed to give a maximum of 10 marks of experience to these employees under which 1 marks will be given for 1-year experience.
The decision to fill these posts through Baba Farid University has been taken in view of the needs of Covid-19 whereas earlier recruitment of Group A and B is done by Punjab Public Service Commission and recruitment of Group C and D is done by Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board.
