Punjab: AAP Punjab MP Malvinder Singh Kang met the Hon’ble Civil Aviation Minister, Shri Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, to advocate for direct international flights from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, located in Mohali, Punjab.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), MP Malvinder Singh Kang highlighted, “This airport, named after our great martyr, has the potential to become a vital international gateway for North India.”

During the meeting, MP Kang urged the Hon’ble Minister to initiate regular international flights to key destinations across Europe, the UK, the US, and Canada—regions with significant Punjabi diaspora populations.

"It is high time we decongest the overburdened Delhi airport and position Chandigarh as a premier international aviation hub," MP Kang stated.

He also called on the Union Government to rise to the occasion, facilitate this crucial need, and fulfill the long-standing aspiration of Punjabis across the globe.
