The miscreants reportedly poured petrol on a 'makeshift handcart' and set it on fire. They also attacked it with sharp weapons.
Colony resident Kesari stated that the miscreants poured petrol and set fire to the main gate of his house and a vehicle parked in the lane late at night. He has lodged a complaint with the police.
CCTV footage shows two men, face covered, arriving at the spot and then setting something on fire. Subsequently, the duo attacked what is assumed to be a vehicle parked with weapons. The victim, Kesari, further claimed that the miscreants damaged several other vehicles in the neighbourhood as well.
After the incident, local councillor Chatarveer Singh Arora questioned the functioning of the police. He said that the police’s lax approach is the reason vehicles parked outside people’s homes are being set on fire.
