High Court Refuses Bikram Singh Majithia Relief in Corruption Case Latest News: Chandigarh: In a significant setback for senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday refused to grant any relief in his ongoing disproportionate assets and corruption case, The Sunday Guardian reported.

The High Court declined to entertain Majithia’s plea, sharply criticizing his legal team for submitting an incomplete application without attaching the latest remand order. The court observed that it could not proceed in the matter without the updated remand copy on record.

Majithia’s counsel admitted the error and sought permission to withdraw the application. The court allowed the withdrawal but not without reprimanding the legal team and making sharp observations about the manner in which the petition was filed.

The case has now been adjourned to July 8.

Bikram Singh Majithia, a former Punjab Cabinet Minister and an influential SAD leader, was arrested on June 25, 2025, by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau under various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
