Punjab Weather Update: Rainfall Predicted In Punjab

Punjab weather update, rainfall forecast latest news: Punjab has continental monsoon type of climate. It receives rainfall from the south-west monsoon winds between the months of July and September. Punjab's average annual rainfall is about 650 mm, with 450 mm to 480 mm falling during the rainy season. According to the director of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Chandigarh, AK Singh, the emissions from burning crop residues have played a pivotal role in the intense heatwaves, unexpected rains, tornadoes, and foggy weather experienced in the state.

In Ludhiana West, Payal, Nabha, Patiala, and Jaitu, there is no warning, but thunderstorm and lightning rain are very likely. Conversely, heavy rain is expected in Bathinda, Rampura Phul, Talwandi Sabo, Barnala, Dhuri, Patran, Sunam, Tapa, Raikot, and Nihal Singhwala. Masnsa, Budhlada, Lehra, Monak, and Sardulgarh have a red alert warning for today, July 4

There will be scattered Thunderstorms in the Punjab, on July 5 and July 6. On Sunday, heavy rain in Punjab is expected according 10-day weather update. On July 9 and 10, the weather will be partly cloudy in many parts of the state of Punjab.

In Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Rupanagar, and SAS Nagar, there will be heavy rainfall tomorrow on July 5, while in other districts of Punjab, there is no warning of rain for tomorrow, like Firozpur, Moga, Bathinda Sangrur, Mansa, and many others. 

On July 6, heavy rain is expected in the areas of Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Tarn Tarn, and pathankot meanwhile weathe will be clear in other districts on the same day. 

In Bathinda, Fazilka, Muktsar and Mansa have a yellow alert for rainfall on July 7. Therefore,there is green alert or no warnings issued for July 8, hence the weather is expected to be clear on July 8.
