Sanjeev Arora Inducted into Punjab Cabinet, Gets Industry and NRI Affairs Portfolios
Newly elected Ludhiana MLA Sanjeev Arora was sworn in today as a Cabinet Minister in the Punjab Government. The oath was administered by Governor Gulab Chand Kataria at Raj Bhavan in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
According to information, Sanjeev Arora will handle the key portfolios of Industry and NRI Affairs. The NRI Affairs department was earlier held by Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal.
Sanjeev Arora, who won the recent Ludhiana by-election as a candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was swiftly elevated to the Cabinet following his decisive victory. His induction is seen as a strategic move to strengthen AAP’s urban leadership and to tap into Arora’s business background for the development of industry and diaspora relations.
With this reshuffle, Kuldeep Dhaliwal continues to serve in other important capacities, but the shift signals a focused approach toward portfolio specialization in the Mann-led Cabinet.
