BSF Recovers Heroin

AMRITSAR: The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have once foiled the smuggling of heroin on the India-Pakistan border. Heroin worth Rs 35 crores has been recovered from Amritsar. 

According to the BSF, the jawans were patrolling the border on the intervening night of June 2-3. They heard the sound of a drone near village Rai. The jawans started monitoring the movement of the drone. Meanwhile, something was felt thrown by the drone. The jawans informed the senior and sealed the area and launched a search operation in the area. They found a big yellow packet in the fields.

After opening the packet, BSF troops found 5 packets in it, which contained heroin. Its weight was 5.5 kg. A sample has been sent for testing. The international value of seized heroin is said to be Rs 38 crore.
