Kotakpura Firing Case: People can share info about the case with SIT on Thursday

CHANDIGARH: In view of the gazetted holiday on the occasion of Ram Navmi (March 30, 2023, Thursday), the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the Kotakapura firing incident. ADGP LK Yadav said that the general public can share any information in connection with tthe case on Thursday (April 6, 2023). 

Reportedly, People can visit ADGP's office from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at 6th Floor, Punjab Police Headquarters, Sector 9-C in Chandigarh. It is worth mentioning here that the investigation into the Kotakapura firing case that took place on October 14, 2015 has reached its final stage.

ADGP said that people can send a message in this regard on WhatsApp number- 9875983237 or Information can also be shared by emailing at newsit2021kotkapuracase@gmail.com. He further said that any input/information given by any responsible person at this stage will prove to be very beneficial for SIT in completing the investigation process as soon as possible.

ADGP expressed gratitude to the people of Punjab for their support. He said that any information provided by any person of Punjab can be useful to complete the legal process of investigation related to Kotakapura firing incident.

Notably, On the instructions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Chandigarh, the state government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of three senior officials including ADGP LK Yadav, IG Rakesh Aggarwal and SSP Moga Gulneet Singh Khurana to investigate the Kotakpura firing case. The Special Investigation Team submitted its first challan in court on February 24, 2023.
