Punjab Weather Update: In an unexpected turn of weather events, Punjab is experiencing a sudden chill, signaling the arrival of colder days. The Meteorological Department has issued a cautionary warning, forecasting rain in several areas in the coming 48 hours.
As temperatures plummet, residents are feeling the bite of the cold, with many opting to remain indoors during the mornings and evenings. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 24.1 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is anticipated to drop to 10.1 degrees Celsius.
This unusual weather pattern has gripped Punjab, with the sky predicted to remain cloudy throughout the day, as communicated by the Meteorological Department. The sudden drop in temperature has disrupted daily routines, prompting concerns among the populace.
Remarkably, November 30 witnessed a record-breaking maximum day temperature of 18.0 degrees Celsius, a phenomenon not observed in the past 46 years. The Meteorological Department reports an unprecedented decrease of 8.6 degrees from the previous day's high of 26.6 degrees Celsius. The last instance of a similar temperature on November 30 dates back to 1977 when it reached 16.6 degrees Celsius.
Adding to the meteorological surprises, the district received 12.6 mm of rain within a 24-hour period, further accentuating the unusual weather conditions. The unexpected precipitation has raised eyebrows, with residents adapting to the uncharacteristic climate.
