Punjab News: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed its attention toward the Punjab government following a petition filed by social worker Parvinder Singh Kitna from Hoshiarpur. The legal move comes in response to concerns raised regarding the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme, a recent initiative launched by the state government.

Parvinder Singh Kitna's petition, filed through lawyer HC Arora, has prompted the issuance of a notice by the High Court. The Punjab government has been asked to provide a response to the notice by the 12th of the month, marking a legal deadline for clarification on aspects of the pilgrimage scheme.

Pilgrimage Scheme....

As per available information, the pilgrimage scheme entails bus journeys for pilgrims to visit revered destinations such as Sri Amritsar Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Damdama Sahib, Sri Vaishno Devi, Mata Chintapurni, Mata Naina Devi, Mata Jawala Ji, Salasar Dham, Khatu Shyam, among others. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized Punjab's secular identity, stating that the state is a place where all forms are welcome, except hatred.

Chief Minister Mann highlighted another pioneering initiative wherein the government has initiated the door-to-door supply of food grains to the people. Launched on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, this endeavor aligns with the government's commitment to serving the residents of Delhi and Punjab while following the teachings of the great Gurus.
