Punjab Government Declares Holiday on June 1, Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Date: In a major development, the Punjab Government on Tuesday declared a holiday on June 1, 2024, given the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. 

In a circular issued by the Punjab Government stated "It is hereby notified that General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024 will be held in Punjab State on 01.08.2024 (Saturday). It is hereby declared under the Negotiable Instrument Act-1881 including gazetted holiday on 01.06.2024 (Saturday) for Government Offices/Boards/Corporations/Educational Institutions situated in the State of Punjab keeping in view the elections." 

It is pertinent to mention that Punjab will cast their votes in the final phase of voting on June 1. On the other hand, the results will be declared on June 5.
