The onset of rain since Thursday morning has led to an intensified cold spell across the state, transforming the atmospheric conditions. The Meteorological Department predicts continued cloudy skies and the likelihood of additional rainfall today. As per their forecast, the maximum temperature is anticipated to hover around 21 degrees, with a minimum of 13 degrees, further reinforcing the prevailing chill.
The climatic contrast between Wednesday and Thursday is stark, with the last day of November marking the coldest spell. A notable decrease of 6 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature has been recorded, exemplifying the swift impact of the rain-induced cold wave. On Thursday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 19.6 degrees and a minimum of 13.3 degrees Celsius, whereas on Wednesday, the maximum temperature stood at 25.6 degrees, accompanied by a minimum of 12.6 degrees Celsius.
