SAD (Badal) seeks re-instatement of banished leaders into the Panth

SAD (Badal)

Chandigarh, 1st March'19 (Ravijot kaur): From the time many senior Akali leaders left the Akali Dal, and formed a new party named Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali), the SAD (Badal) is scrabbling. It has found itself in a deep soup, and without all the major leaders, with most of them standing in opposition. The party, feeling the absence of its leaders, instead of getting new leaders, has decided to bring back its disgraced and scandalized leaders instead.

Recently, in a letter sent to the Akal Takhat Jathedar, Giani Harpreet Singh, Akali Dal has been making efforts to get its banished ministers back in the Panth. Several Akali leaders have been embroiled in various scandals, and were banished from Sikh Panth. The last was Sucha Singh Langaah whose sex scandal rocked the party and religious establishment.

A couple of his videos were leaked, wherein he was clearly in compromising positions with a woman. In an interaction with media over the issue of enquiry on Iqbal Singh, Jathedar Darbar Sahib, Patna, the Akal Takhat Jathedar confirmed getting requests of some banished leaders including Sucha Singh Langaah and Hakam Singh from Rajasthan among others.
