Bathinda: A tragic incident has come to light from a locality in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, where a husband and wife died under mysterious circumstances late last night after their health suddenly deteriorated.
According to information, Ramanpreet Singh (31) and his wife Manjot Kaur, belonging to the Meharami community, reportedly fell ill after experiencing severe vomiting late at night.
Both were immediately rushed to Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Civil Hospital, where doctors declared Manjot Kaur dead on arrival, while Ramanpreet Singh succumbed during treatment.
It has been learned that the couple had been married for about 11 months.
Meanwhile, after receiving information this morning, Talwandi Sabo Police have started an investigation into the matter.
The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained. Doctors said that the cause of death will be confirmed only after post-mortem examinations of the bodies.
