The speculation emerged following Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s recent hospitalization at Fortis Hospital for three days. Rumors circulated that CM Mann might be replaced, with either Harpal Cheema or Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan tipped as potential successors.

After meeting CM Bhagwant Mann at the hospital, Harpal Cheema provided a clarification, stating that the Chief Minister is in good health and has fully recovered. "He is absolutely fit now," Cheema reassured, putting to rest concerns about CM Mann's well-being. Addressing the rumors of a leadership change in an exclusive conversation with Rozana Spokesman, Cheema labeled them as "baseless" and blamed the opposition for spreading such unfounded claims. "There is no truth to these rumours. Bhagwant Mann will continue to serve as the Chief Minister of Punjab," he affirmed.

With this clear statement from Harpal Cheema, it is evident that AAP has no plans for a change in leadership, and CM Bhagwant Mann remains firmly at the helm of Punjab's government.
