Doctor Killed as Speeding Car Hits Divider and Overturns Into Fields Amid Dense Fog
The impact was so severe that the vehicle's airbags deployed, and a loud explosion was heard.
A tragic road accident occurred late at night on the Nakodar–Jamshed Highway due to dense fog. Near Sofi Pind, a speeding car first hit the divider and then overturned multiple times before landing in the fields, where it collided with a tree.
In the accident, physiotherapist Dr Dennis Hina, a resident of Sadakpur village in Nakodar, lost his life.
Dr Dennis Hina was travelling for work late at night from Nakodar via the Nakodar–Jamshed Highway. Near Sofi Pind, due to dense fog and high speed, the driver lost control of the vehicle. After hitting the divider, the car overturned into the fields and struck a tree.
The impact was so severe that the vehicle’s airbags deployed, and a loud explosion was heard.
Soon after the accident, residents of nearby villages pulled Dr Dennis Hina out of the car in an injured condition and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot and took custody of the body, sending it to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
It is reported that Dr Dennis Hina was the only son of his family. His death has cast a pall of grief over the family and the area.
