Amritpal Singh to Contest Lok Sabha Elections 2024: In a major turn of events, the news of Amritpal Singh, founder of Waris Punjab De, who is lodged in Dibrugarh jail under the NSA act, contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from the Khadoor Sahib as an independent candidate, has been put on hold as his mother has denied the reports.

According to the information, Amritpal Singh's mother said that there was no confirmation regarding the same. She said it would be confirmed only after Amritpal Singh himself announced the same. It is pertinent to mention that it was Amritpal Singh's lawyer who had announced that he would contest from Khadoor Sahib.

This was supposed to change the dynamics at Khadoor Sahib where Aam Aadmi Party has deployed Laljit Singh Bhullar as their candidate from Khadoor Sahib while the Bharatiya Janta Party has announced Manjit Singh Manna and Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) has announced Harpal Singh Baler.

It may be recalled that Amritpal Singh was arrested, last year, after a mega chase against him by the police. Currently, he is in the Dibrugarh Jail.
